The Roma Medical 1500 Lightweight Self-Propelling Wheelchair is a great entry level lightweight wheelchair that comes with a number of features despite weighing in at only 15kg (33lb).  To guarantee safety when getting in and out of the wheelchair, the Roma 1500 comes with swing in and out detachable footrests, with heel strap, and detachable flip-up arms.  It also possesses a fold down back which allows it to be easily transported and stored.

Although this 1500 wheelchair is incredibly lightweight, it can still accommodate a maximum user weight of 17 stone / 110kg.   With its 24" (60cm) self-propelling, quick release, puncture proof rear wheels and 8" (20cm) front solid tyre swivel castors and castor angle adjustment, the Roma 1500 ensures the user has a safe and comfortable ride.

The 1500 also features a 4-position rear axle adjustment and quick release anti-tippers.  The seat, back and 2" (5cm) cushion are upholstered with nylon cord which is flame retardant and can be wiped clean.  There is also a seat lap strap for extra safety with a maximum user weight of 110kgs/242lbs.

The Roma Medical range of lightweight manual wheelchairs are manufactured from lightweight aluminium tubing and during the manufacturing process the aluminium is heat treated to increase its strength and durability.  On average, aluminium wheelchairs are approximately 40% lighter in weight than steel equivalents. This explains why the Roma 1500 can maintain a high level of durability and versatility while still weighing in at a considerably low weight.

At Capable Direct we aim to dispatch all our machine orders on a 48 hour delivery with Parcel Force, where stock levels allow.

All machine orders placed before 2.30pm will be processed and dispatched for 48 hour delivery.

If your order is placed on a Friday, then the order will be sent on Friday, but delivery will be Monday the following week.

All machine orders received over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday for delivery Tuesday.

Delivery will only be made to the delivery address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at the customer’s own risk.
