The Roma Medical 1472 Heavy Duty Self-Propelled Wheelchair is made from chromium plated steel making it a robust and reliable wheelchair.  This wheelchair has also been crash tested to ensure it meets current criteria for a safe wheelchair and has a maximum user weight of 22 stone / 140kg.

This heavy duty self-propelling wheelchair features 24" (60cm) self-propelling spoke puncture proof rear wheels which, along with the padded armrests, vinyl flame retardant upholstered seat and back, will ensure a smooth and comfortable ride for the user.  The 8" (20cm) solid front tyre swivel castors helps to make manoeuverability easier whilst the progressive and parking braking system allows the user/attendant to control the speed and to stop/park the wheelchair more securely.

The Roma 1472 also features swing-away, height adjustable, detachable footrests with heel strap which swing sideways and can be removed to create space when not in use, and allows ease of movement in and out of the chair.  These footrests can easily be adjusted to fit your height which will provide better support for the user and the heel straps prevent feet slipping backwards or getting caught between the wheels.

This heavy duty self-propelled wheelchair is also available in a 30" width / 115cm (width between arms 22" / 56cm) version.  (Model No.1472X)

At Capable Direct we aim to dispatch all our machine orders on a 48 hour delivery with Parcel Force, where stock levels allow.

All machine orders placed before 2.30pm will be processed and dispatched for 48 hour delivery.

If your order is placed on a Friday, then the order will be sent on Friday, but delivery will be Monday the following week.

All machine orders received over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday for delivery Tuesday.

Delivery will only be made to the delivery address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at the customer’s own risk.

Please note: All machine orders are dispatched with our 48 hour courier Parcel Force for delivery, if you require Next Day delivery then please select this when placing the order. All NEXT DAY orders must be received before 2.30pm for processing. All parts and consumable orders are dispatched with the Royal Mail, and this can take two to three working days after the day of order for delivery.
